Well, we're several months behind on posting these recaps now, so this is going to come with a giant asterisk in the form of:
We've had a couple of months off now; the last session we ran was April 18, 2026, and so things are a little fuzzy from my memory even with the notes I took... so I'll be hitting on the main beats and if I missed minor details I'll update as they become relevant.
The prior session recap can be found here:
Session 14
In Session 15 we really dive into our Druid player's backstory. Quywn (Formerly Panthera in old sessions), has returned to her home city of Karon to figure out why a former family friend just tried to kill one of her companions in an arena. Her parents had many dealings with him over the years, so if the group wants answers about Torvald, they're most likely going to come from her parents.
So, with a plan in mind the party goes to sleep. Two of them (Muk-Muk and Quywn) have strange dreams. Q dreams about mostly-forgotten memories. Conversations, meetings, and strange figures in her old house. Odd hours, odd smells... even odder sounds. A strange place that seemed too saturated with colour, where animals talked. A park, maybe? Her parents tell her that there is no animal park.
For Muk-Muk: It must be a dream, but it feels so real. Dancing tie-dyed rats in a vibrant blue room that looks like every surface is covered in soft velvet. A painting of an amulet worn by one of MM's Old Family on a desk. Behind the desk, a mysterious old goblin - albino, with a long nose and long pointed ears - looks up from his desk, smiles, and taps the amulet before saying 'first things first,' and MM feels himself being pulled out of the room by stuffed beanie-baby-style animated rats.
When he wakes from the dream - nightmare, almost - Muk-Muk can feel something under his pillow. Reaching under, he finds a stuffed rat under his pillow. It is tie-dyed, and has a tag saying "I'm Slasher the Rat - pull my tag off and throw me for some fun. GOOD FOR ONE USE."
Muk-Muk screams, and Peril (who is sharing a room with our goblin friend) can't get him to calm down for a long time.
Eventually, the party meets downstairs, and they speak with Fistandia and Freyot. Fistandia is feeling better every day, and is ready to be of more assistance to the team - which is great because it'd take a lot less time to catch a Teleport to Karon than it would to walk there.
It doesn't take much prompting, and Fistandia agrees. She's got some business to re-acquaint herself with in the area anyhow.
Fistandia and Freyot teleport the team, and then head off to deal with their own business. The party, meanwhile, makes a straight shot to Quywn's house... and finds that nobody seems to be around. Unusual, given that there are typically house-guards and servants at the very least.
After gaining entry and poking around a bit, they find a note saying that everyone has been dismissed for 3 days. Quywn doesn't recall anything like this ever happening before, and given that her parents are both influential members of the city's government as well as wealthy nobility... leaving the house completely empty like this is super strange.
The party searched through Quywn's Home, finding a secret portal to the Feywild and a specific Archfey's Domain (Bellsong, created by Bhaozoth the Curious). They found a Fey Contract that her parents had signed, and Quywn was horrified by the number of stuffed/taxidermized animals that were in her former childhood home.
They leave some offerings for the Fey as they travel through the great trunk of Yggdrasil on the way to Bellsong.
They meet a talking deer that leads them to a clearing, where they witness Quywn's Parents at the edge of a pool; they get agitated and worried as they see Quywn and the Party. Their god - the Archfey - shows up then and demands the items it had requested via the pact, which her parents place down at the edge of the pool.
One of these items is a silver spoon, beautifully decorated and engraved with a stylized MM on the handle. Muk-Muk recalls this was the spoon he was trying to steal when he was found by his former family, and he leaps for it. He chucks Slasher the Rat at Bhaozoth the Curious, and the Mysterious Old Goblin intervenes to stop them from all being executed.
The Party and Quywn's parents are all ejected forcibly from the Domain of Delight. Quywn's Parents end up having a massive penalty applied to their Fey Pact/Contract, and they're extremely upset by this.
Upon questioning by the party, we find out that Quywn's parents were planning to get Bhaozoth's help to offer the Elves of Karon a permanent home in the Feywild via his Domain of Delight. They, it turns out, hate "ephemerals" - short-lived races that die like... well, everyone except Elves. Karon opted to integrate with the human nation of Shae'Han nearly 2500 years ago, and in their opinion this was a huge mistake, which they'd like to remedy by helping Bhaozoth create a permanent bridge between his Domain and the mundane world that would also allow any elf in Karon to live permanently in the Feywild again.
Quywn, after hearing this xenophobic explanation, goes on a fireball-flinging rampage, burning the house down. The party abducts the parents, dragging them out of the burning mansion, and John suggests he can solve their problem by ripping up their contract - if, and only after, they betray the Archfey and let John devour its soul. They also must make a new pact with John, offering their souls, for the Tree plan they wanted to set up to still be enacted after everything is done.
Once they get the parents to agree, they let them go, and the party heads a little ways into the woods next to the burning husk of Quywn's former home and summons the door to the Mansion so they can take a long rest after quite the day.
