Good day to all my Hive friends and especially the Tabletop peoples! We do have a tabletop, dnd and ccg community in Cape Town South Africa, which is where I am weiting to you from.
I played 40k fron late 3rd edition till early 6th edition(one game only in fact), then nothing since then. This means I was not around for 6th ed, 7th, 8th and most part of 9th which is where I am now.
9th edition will be ending within the next year or so I guess but I am not phased.
The reason for my departure was mainly because of lifestyle at the time of having smaller kids, going through a divorce as a single dad looking after a son and a daughter and moving twice across around 850km ways each.
In that time, I have transported my boys with me, my collection, my armies. I love this universe and genre and they finally did what I always said was holding GW back in 5th/6th edition: they unfroze their timeline, allowing new things to happen!
Anyway, enough about that.
I went to Sword and Board in Milnerton and packed out most of my stuff so I can see what I have and ask advice of my friends as to what I can build up, army-wise.
Check it out! The results even shocked ME!
If I have not mentioned this before. I collect Imperial armies. I started with Space Wolves and it grew from there.
Inquisition
Plus Daemonhunters
Grey Knights
Some Astra Militarium
Space Wolves, my OG army.
I used to play with quite a bit of vehicles as well.
Space Marine Heavy Weapons
I got 5 Primaris Marines and there are a bunch of Space Marine Characters.
Space Marine Characters
Space Marines! Loads of them!
Space Marine Scouts!
Land Speeders!
Bikes and Dreadnoughts!
Terminators! Loads of them!
Dark Angels and Dark Angel Characters!
All combines to make THIS massive collection...
I got a lot of this second hand... I have a lot of unpainted stuff as well... I have a LOT of painting to do! 馃槄馃槄馃槄
And I need to learn to play the game again!
Well... let me get to it then! I look forward to learning again and teaching my kids to play. I should have enough armies for us to play. Hehe.
Until next time...
Cheers!
