Happy Sunday friends, it's another Sunday and the first Sunday in the month of June. As christians we go to our various places of worship to commune with God. As my custom is, I will share with you what I learnt from the church today.
I'll be explaining some of the things I learnt this morning from God's word and principles. You know as children of God, the bible is our yard stick and the mirror through which we evaluate our lives. We are encouraged from the bible to put into practice what we study and learn from the scriptures.
The message for today was awesome and our pastor buttressed more on having love for God. You know, when you have a genuine love for God you will do only what pleases Him. You'll go extra miles in advancing His kingdom and by doing so, you are entitled to receiving the blessings that are associated with kingdom service.
The bible rightly pointed out that when you seek the interest of the kingdom of God, he grants your honest desires. Onus is laid on us to go about in pursuing and doing what pleases God and our reward awaits us. My Mentor once said something very interesting and I quote.
You cannot claim to love God without loving to do what He loves. Bishop David Oyedepo
The first thing to do in order to be in the heart of God is to love and do what makes Him happy and He will give you what makes you happy. Be ready and willing to go extra miles to pursue kingdom advancement endeavors. Our pastor said an interesting thing and I'll like to quote him.
Love is a choice and not a gift.
You know, when you decide to love God, you will love everything that pleases Him. For you to enjoy and dwell in the supernatural, your love for God must be in place in order words, to command the supernatural you must be an addicted lover of God.
I'll like to draw my conclusion with these lines of statement by our pastor.
True lovers of God are indestructible.
