To maintain social balance, girls in society are also important as boys. Some years ago, there was a huge decline in the number of women in comparison to men. This was due to the increase in crimes against women such as: female feticide, murder for dowry, rape, poverty, illiteracy, gender discrimination etc. In order to equal the number of women in society, people need to be aware about saving the girl at large level. Government of India has taken some positive steps in relation to the protection of girls like: Protection Act of 2005 from women's domestic violence, ban on female feticide, immoral trafficking (Prevention) Act, proper education, gender equality etc.
