Some springs arrive gently.

And some arrive with wind. 🌬️

This is the first spring I’m experiencing in Uruguay, and perhaps that’s why I’m looking at it with different eyes.

Here, spring doesn’t mean that the cold suddenly disappears and everything becomes warm. Not quite. The cold still makes an appearance, especially in the late afternoon, and some days remind you that winter hasn’t completely left yet.

But something begins to change.

🌿 The trees start filling with life.
🌸 Flowers appear everywhere, and some of them end up traveling through the air, carried away by the wind.
🌬️ And speaking of the wind… there are days when it feels like it could carry you away too.

And then there’s the sea. 🌊

During this season, it can feel different too: more restless, more alive, as if it were responding to the changing season. The water, the wind, the clouds, and the light constantly create a changing landscape.

There’s something curious about spring in Uruguay:

It doesn’t arrive all at once. It announces itself little by little.

One day you go outside wearing a jacket.

The next, you need to take off a layer.

For a while, there’s sunshine.

Then the wind suddenly appears.

And as you walk, you discover a flower you might not even have noticed the day before.

🌱 Maybe that’s what spring is also about: transition.

Not everything has to change overnight.

Nature reminds us that we can also bloom little by little, even when there are still cold days, strong winds, and uncomfortable moments.

Because blooming doesn’t mean that everything is perfect.

It means that, despite everything, life keeps finding a way to make its way through. 🌸

🌷 Welcome, spring.

From Uruguay, I’m learning to discover you for the first time.
