It was a pretty busy day, with a few outings and some family time, and some beautiful views. What I like most about going out and exploring parts of my city is being able to clear my mind. Well, we also walked part of the trail toward San Juan de los Morros, although I only took two photos along the way. The weather was perfect, and the sun was shining, bathing us in its splendor.
One of the things I loved about the road was that the mountains were quite green—they looked so beautiful. That’s what I love most about enjoying nature: seeing how the mountains turn green, swapping their brown color for one that brings them to life. That’s what happens when the rain waters the earth.
It has rained a lot these past few days, and although the rain has caused damage in some places, in other places everything looks more beautiful and vibrant. On my way back to our city, I took photos of a few spots along the road where the trees look very lush and there are benches on either side so passersby can sit and relax, watch the cars go by, and see people walking. It’s nice to take a few moments here and there to enjoy life.
We also took some time to enjoy a delicious lunch; we had some tasty "pollo a la broster." For us, chicken is one of the most delicious foods, and trying it in different ways is the best. At home, our chicken isn’t usually fried—it’s healthier—so this "pollo a la broster" was a chance to break out of our routine a bit, as well as spend some time with family. Here are some photos from our lovely day.
