Un saludo querida comunidad de @espavlog , me es grato estar aquí nuevamente para compartir con ustedes mi nuevo segmento llamado La Próxima Estación y hoy llegamos a La Colonia Tovar, la pequeña Alemania en Venezuela.

La Colonia Tovar fue fundada el 8 de Abril de 1843 por unos inmigrantes Alemanes, desde entonces ellos procuraron mantener sus costumbres, sus casas tal como si fuera su Alemania.

Greetings dear community of @espavlog , I am pleased to be here again to share with you my new segment called La Próxima Estación and today we come to La Colonia Tovar, the little Germany in Venezuela.

Colonia Tovar was founded on April 8, 1843 by German immigrants, since then they tried to keep their customs, their houses as if it was their Germany.

Aprovechamos el carnaval y pudimos ver las comparsas que realmente eran dos, y son sus personajes del Jokili y el gorila, los Jokilis existen en Alemania simulando el arlequín, las mascaran son de madera y algunos llevan una bola hecha con vejiga de Cochino con la cual golpean a los espectadores cuando van pasando.

Así que les invito a ver un poco de este paseo cultural de la hermosa Colonia Tovar.

We took advantage of the carnival and we could see the comparsas that really were two, and are their characters of the Jokili and the gorilla, the Jokilis exist in Germany simulating the harlequin, the masks are made of wood and some carry a ball made of pig bladder with which they hit the spectators as they go by.

So I invite you to see a little of this cultural tour of the beautiful Colonia Tovar.
