Saludos amigos bienvenidos a mi blog 🌟

! [ENGLISH]

Children’s mischief—some of it is remembered fondly, and when we think back on it, we can’t help but laugh; we all get into some kind of mischief when we’re kids, and that’s normal: children live in their own world and think differently; we don’t believe everything is bad, or we don’t see it as something bad—“kids’ stuff,” as they say—and there’s nothing quite like a child’s innocence.

I remember a story about a prank I pulled that put me off doing it again; I don’t know how old I was, maybe 12. My mom used to give me vitamins and a laxative, and I don’t remember why I was taking those pills, but I had to take them every night. And I was already bored, so I decided I wouldn’t take them; the fridge was near a window that looked out onto the backyard, and almost no one ever walked by there, so I decided that every time I went to take my medicine, I’d throw those pills out the window and that would be it—I’d just say I’d taken them—until one day my mom decided to sweep that area and found all the pills.

That day my mom caught us, my cousins were at home; we were watching TV, and she came into the room with a belt to hit me, and I was jumping over everyone so they wouldn’t hit me. The truth is, that day we all got the belt—me more than anyone else, of course—and, of course, our movie night was over.

I really was a handful, and my mom always ended up hitting me with the belt. One day, a cousin who always came over to our house—we were about 8 years old—was in the room with me, and I told her I was going to put cologne on her, but what I actually did was pour it over her head so it ran down into her eyes. It stung and itched a lot, she screamed from the burning sensation, and when they heard her, my mom came to hit me. There were so many pranks and mischievous acts like that; these are some of the ones I remember most.

Thanks to angelica7@angelica7 for this weekly initiative, which lets us remember those little pranks from our childhood.
