My friend Merly told her to get dressed, combed her hair, took out her lice and perfumed her, she looked like a different person.
The next day, when she arrived at school she didn't smell bad, she looked different and a little nicer, I think she arrived with a strong perfume smell, however the kids made fun of her, which made me angry because she wasn't even to blame for being like that.
One day Vicky's mother went to the high school and we realized that she was an old lady all disheveled and we also found out that Vicky was her youngest daughter and they were low income people, often they did not even have enough to eat, that made me feel very sad for her.
As the year went by Vicky was no longer the new girl, she was that girl that many of us tried to protect and others were still making fun of her and being mean to her.
She was too innocent to tell the truth, she would do anything to be accepted and loved, one day a boy wanted to take advantage of her naivety but I noticed it.
- I told her: Vicky, what are you going to do?
- She answered with her frank smile and very naive that she should buy breakfast for Carlos and then take it to him near the men's room, because he wanted to be her friend and had asked her to do it.
- Don't do it, I replied.
The boys did that to make fun of the more foolish and innocent girls and ended up showing them their private parts, so between my three friends and I went and defended Vicky and the boy who wanted to make fun of her was exposed and was taken to management.
We reached the end of the year and so we reached our graduation, Vicky was there too, with the help of many of us who no longer made fun of her but defended her as she was our friend she also graduated, it was a satisfying time for all of us.
After ten years without seeing some of my high school classmates today I saw Vicky, the same girl as always with those big eyes always wanting to make friends, with her little stutter she said Hello!
I seemed to go back and see that girl that we all helped and today she has become an English teacher, it is incredible what good intentions and friends can do, I was glad to know that she was well, I hugged her and we talked for a while, then I left thinking how many good intentions and actions of love are needed nowadays.

Vicky, the withdrawn girl in the classroom who was bullied by everyone, I remember that day when I saw her arrive to class, her look with a desire to discover the world, her way of walking was slow and gentle and trying to hide everything that was in her.
On the first day of class Vicky was the new girl in the classroom, she arrived greeting everyone wanting to make herself known, but everyone made fun of her for her stuttering, in addition to her hairstyle, it was terrible, she looked like my grandmother's grandmothers, I must confess that even I laughed a lot at her.
