My birthday is January 1st and this year it falls on a Sunday, one of the things I like the most is that as soon as a year ends immediately I am already on my birthday, so my family always give me happy birthday and happy birthday at the same time, I remember years ago my cousins asked me who gave me happy birthday first? It was always the same thing, and even though this time I didn't spend it with them, they all gave me happy birthday and happy new year.
My husband had prepared for me the surprise of the cake, something that I did not expect at that moment, so they sang birthday to me and we cut the cake all at once.
Tonight we went home early at 2am because the next day we were going to La Colonia Tovar, a town in the State of Aragua-Venezuela that was built by people from Germany, it is a beautiful tourist place that I recommend you should visit if you don't know it, part of my birthday present was to go there to eat some delicious strawberries with creams that are so popular in the place.
Arriving at the colony the photos were not long in coming, the town was busy with some tourists and many businesses open as a normal day, first time I go to Colonia Tovar at this time and I loved it, the tasty cold weather, the smiling people, the big Christmas tree and the streets covered with Christmas decorations.
We went to eat strawberries and peaches with cream, after walking around the place for a while, I love them, my son does not like strawberries with creams, so he preferred the butter cookies that are also typical of the area, cookies like sighs.
Being in the Colony is a magical place ✨️, it seems that one was in another era, in another place in the world because they have always maintained its architecture in all its buildings, the clothes worn by people in some businesses is characteristic of the time of 1820 approximately when they came to these lands, so there are some places where you can take pictures in some charge money in others not.
The place is also full of flowers everywhere, flowers with vivid colors, cold weather so everything can be seen with life and brightness, admiring nature is something I love.
We were also able to taste some German sausage dogs, they are famous in the region and in the village they have their own sausages and in every restaurant they sell this type of German and Polish sausages, so we had a great treat.
When I got home I was surprised with another cake, waoo I thought that this December I really put on weight, although we split it this day because we were full, the next day we ate cake again.
I spent a happy birthday next to my beloved family, I was among nature, I breathed fresh air, what more could I ask for, I thank God for another year of life to start the year on the right foot and to have health to achieve the goals set in this 2023 ✨️🎊🥂🍾
