Music as one of the most identifying elements of humanity, because wherever there is music, there is humanity, it is the rug upon which this story will be driven.

One that narrates to us about the strength and importance of music in one of the most difficult contexts in which human beings have lived, and for this, it uses one of the most ancient fears of humanity, perhaps the first fear, that fear of humanity in the form of what could be vampires in a cotton field in the American South. All of this could make sense in some way, because Siners achieves it.

Through a masterful performance by Michael B. Jordan, who plays a pair of twins who decide to return to their hometown after doing somewhat shady jobs in the big city, and with it they intend to open a bar, one where people who work all day without a rest can go to unwind tensions at night. For this, they will make use of the best musicians in the region, who historically were exploited.

Imagined for their skin color and for the type of music they did, one loaded with virtuosity and pain, such as the blues or proto-jazz, which was already being played from that moment on, because yes, everyone could recognize that this music was very good, but those who interpreted it were reduced to the lowest extracts of society.
Thus, this duo of twins sets to the task and we see how, from their contrasting, polarizing personalities, they can manage to balance, one that unites all minorities in itself, because through the relationships they are building we can see the first foundations of Asians in the United States, we can see the mestizos and how all these people who were not considered completely white were a little cast aside. But not only of pain is this movie composed, there is also a strong religious vigor, but not linked to the gloomy of the majority of images that we could have of a classic church, rather carried from this black church that dares to praise, but to praise from enjoyment, from an unusual joy. And there we see another of our protagonists, who is the cousin of these twins, who is called to become a great musician of this generation, but now from those first steps.

Guided by this impulse, we see how all the pieces are falling into place and, from the beginning, we see that the very leaseholder of these lands, or more than leaseholder, who intends to sell them, brings something between hands with these two cousins, something that will explode towards the end of the movie, but all of you will say, how do the vampires integrate?
Well, interpreted by three actors, we see how firstly this virus, to call it some way, arrives to a home.

Ported by a vampire who, as the only justification, has his feet and upon being pursued by some Native Americans, asks for refuge in a house where they welcome him only because the natives cannot be the good guys of the story and here begins the first vampiric infection, one that spreads quite quickly and upon arriving the night and with it the darkness, we see how this bar begins to let loose.

How the cousins have managed to put together different elements of the town, carried a little by the respect they had already won and the money they now had to set up this great party, not without first returning to their loves of the past, and here we see the duality between them. While one goes for this friend of childhood with whom he had certain friction, but never got to concrete it, perhaps by the difference in the color of their skins or perhaps for the irresponsible of this brother who always was the most jovial of all.
They arrive at a tense situation, although she is convinced to also be part of this undertaking, while the brother, who seems more serio and being the same actor giving to twin brothers, gives this aura of being the older brother, the strongest, goes for his wife, who we could say with whom he tried to share a life, but after the misfortune of losing a child, comes a painful rupture and with this rupture also a kind of mourning, but after
convincing her in the best way, they also unite her to this effort.
When everything is given for the party to take its course, these vampires arrive trying the ones inside, because these being vampires inspired by a classical story cannot access to any place without being invited.

Thus, they begin a kind of tricks so that they are invited to pass, but upon not achieving it they decide to return by force. Here the movie explodes in an action explosion, but the music returns.
These vampires also try to convince through music by being a completely human language and in this movie the music has an even greater power, because it says that it usually invokes the spirits of the past and the future and in a really luxury montage, we see how all the black musical culture is reflected in a party, musical culture that treats both spirits of the past with tribal dances as dancers and ensis of the future, carrying the hip hop culture, carrying the funk to this party, being both multicultural as atemporal.

Thus, the great clash occurs, one where without making spoilers everything happens and it is a very funny plot, being one of the great hits of this movie how it manages to give all the elements it offers in a well-differentiated and entertaining way, because it manages to be terrifying by moments, it manages to have social denunciations, be a musical movie, be fun, a vampire movie, all at once, not in a way that feels run over, little thought, but with a perfect gear.

The movie enters in its final quarter showing us what happened of all these characters and how music influenced their lives, even how this virus of vampirism did not cure completely, but integrated into society in such a way that it became invisible, just as a little also the pain that the music of these blacks carried was invisibilized, which made the culture of a country that never seemed to have finished accepting them completely, great.
