I suspect that the witnesses and whales will end up destroying the platform in their insatiable quest for passive income.

Economists refer to passive income as "rent seeking." The ruling class like economic structures that give the ruling class passive income while the plebes toil away serving their rulers.

Taxations, interest, derivatives, etc., are all forms of rent seeking.

I was attracted to HIVE because I hoped that it would be a crypto platform where people sought to build a currency by creating something of value. Unfortunately, the witnesses chose to make passive income the primary focus of the platform.

The passive income always squashes the people seeing active income through curation or writing.

I stopped writing because I hate what is going on but keep the account active curating.
