I don't know who this blocktrades is, but I love what you are doing.
My account now has 2,558 HP and something wonderful happened! When I gave a 100% upvote, the system registered the upvote as a two cent vote in the account notification screen. My 98% upvote wasn't worth two cents.
Of course two cents isn't worth what it used to be.
As I understand the blockchain gets a little bit wanky when the price of HIVE drops below $0.16; So the system currently records the wrong price of HIVE. When I check my HIVE wallet, it says that I have 2558.993 HIVE and the estimated account value is $416.72 USD. This implies that HIVE trades at $16.28. The real value of my account is $281.48 .
I mentioned this because the glitch in the software means that now is a great time for new accounts to buy HIVE POWER. If you buy HIVE at $0.11, the system will treat your account as if you bought it at $0.16.
I think they will keep the system price of HIVE at 0.1628 even if the price drops further. I could be wrong about that. PS, there is always a chance that the Hive blockchain will suffer colony collapse disorder and the money that mysteriously appeared in my account will disappear as mysteriously appeared.
But, none of that matters. I can now give people my two cents worth ... even if my two cents worth isn't worth two cents.
