San Antonio de Capayacuar a sus 310 Años de Fundación (Esp-Eng)

San Antonio es un pueblo ubicado al norte del estado Monagas, es la capital del municipio Acosta y posee muchos atractivos naturales que te hace volver, en él disfrutas de un refrescante clima de montaña y justo hoy se celebran 310 años desde su fundación en el año 1713.

Al nacido en San Antonio se le conoce como Sanantoñero, cuenta la historia narrada por los representantes de la alcaldía quienes nos recibieron, que en San Antonio fueron los indios chaimas provenientes de los capayas los primeros en llegar al pueblo y que a eso deben el nombre de Capayacuar.

También comentaron que este bonito pueblo fue fundado por el misionero capuchino Fray Gerónimo de Muro con ayuda de los indios. Así mismo bajo la fe del misionero, el pueblo fue puesto bajo la protección del santo portugués Antonio de Padua.

San Antonio está ubicado a orillas del río colorado, justo en la entrada está el río que lo atraviesa debajo del puente y debe su nombre de río colorado por el pigmento rojiso de sus aguas.

Este tiene un olor particular y es que en él se conectan afluentes de aguas de azufre, es un río con muchas piedras, pero su corriente no es tan fuerte, al menos no en el paso del puente, dónde muchos se lanzan para refrescarse.

En el pueblo conocí el teatro Municipal Dr. Carlos Velásquez Marín, dónde nos mostraron las artesanías que realizan los artistas locales y tuvimos la oportunidad de ver a las niñas ensayando los bailes tradicionales.

In the town I visited the Dr. Carlos Velásquez Marín Municipal Theater, where we were shown the handicrafts made by local artists and we had the opportunity to see the girls rehearsing traditional dances.

Visitamos la biblioteca municipal, cargada de mucha historia, así como la plaza Bolívar del pueblo y la bonita iglesia de San Antonio.

San Antonio está muy cerca de la represa del Guamo, la cual tiene una historia que luego les contaré. Actualmente, su alcalde es Jesús Velásquez y su economía se mueve con los cultivos de café, naranjas, otros cítricos y hortalizas, pues si tierra es muy fértil.

En San Antonio se realiza el baile de la culebra 🐍 de Ipure, es una danza propia de la comunidad, dónde varias mujeres simulan el arrastre de la culebra, esto tiene una historia muy particular, que se las contaré dentro de poco.

La visita a San Antonio me gustó mucho, es un pueblito muy bonito, conozco varias personas de allá y me hablan de su hospitalidad y que son gente buena de pueblo, eso es bueno reflejarlo, me gustan esos lugares que te hacen sentir en casa y dónde todos se conocen, donde tuvieron una infancia que pueden recordar con alegría, es un pueblo donde todos vuelven y eso me gusto y mucho y les digo que volveré.
