This is my participation in the 13th ZapFic50Friday challenge.

It's a challenge brought to us by felt.buzz@felt.buzz and the Freewriters Community, it tests our ability to construct as complete of a story as we can, using exactly 50 words, no more, no less! And with a specific Prompt word provided each week.

You can read all about it in the original post for this week.

This week's prompt word is: Grumble
So without further ado, here's my fiction story

As their currency started dwindling to a trickle of value, the weak hands started shaking and letting go of their holdings.

A grumble between the masses could be heard from a mile away. Has it all been in vain?

Little those masses knew that it was all but a trick.

And here's the screenshot of the word count.

Note: This is a micro-FICTION story, never meant to be taken as a financial advice.

So please, don't take it as such! Thank you for reading!

If you'd like to participate, check out this week's official ZapFic50 Friday post: The weekend is coming so that can only mean one thing... it's #ZapFic50Friday! Write me a story in precisely 50 words!:

RULES:

Post to the Freewriters Community.

  • Use #freewritehouse and #zapfic tags.

  • Please use a word/character counter (if you search for word counter on the internet or in your phone's app store you will get a big choice!) wordcounter.net and include a screenshot. This makes it easier for you and feltbuzz@feltbuzz!

  • Use the prompt provided as you see fit (use your imagination)

  • You have the weekend (until Sunday 23h59 GMT) to write a story in precisely 50 words (no more, no less than 50!) using the prompt given.

  • Try to tell a complete story if you can!

  • The story should be precisely 50 words long (use a word counter to check!).
