Greetings theanimerealm@theanimerealm community, today I want to recommend you another Donghua (Chinese production anime) that, really ended up surprising me with the laughs it got out of me and it's titled Cinderella Chef (Meng Qi Shi Shen), which was released in 2018 under the production of Wawayu Animation and director Ni Jiafei.

It had 3 seasons in total, that one ends up watching it in a 2 by 3 is that, in general, most Donghuas have a relatively short time in each chapter, unlike Japanese productions, each episode has a duration of 12 to 15 min, maximum 20 and at most.

In particular, this has been one of my favorites, I saw it several times and is one of the few Chinese productions I've seen that the story has a beginning and an end as such, because I've seen some that supposedly conclude, but, they leave that bitter taste in your mouth that you know that the story does not conclude like that, I don't know if I understand? Or it is a very open ending.

Anyway, what is donghua all about? One day a young and talented chef of modern Chinese cuisine, Ye Jiayao, was cooking a puffer fish, when she did not have an ingredient of a recipe, she replaced it with some mushrooms; when she tasted her dish, it accidentally fell to the floor and it was not because she did not follow the proper procedure to prepare the fish, but because the mushroom activated its poison.

When she falls unconscious, she is transported to another world, in ancient Chinese style, to the body of another girl, who has the same physique as her. This young woman was an ancient noblewoman who was to fulfill the duty of marriage, but dies when she hits her head against the wall.

Of course, Jiayao was bewildered and refused to fulfill this duty; then some bandits broke into the caravan and kidnapped her, because their goal was to make her become the wife of the third boss, the leader of the group, Xia Chunyu, our male protagonist.

Although, their encounter is somewhat threatening and should be taken seriously, the donghua treats it in a humorous way that does not displease you, but rather makes you cope with the whole atmosphere that is generated. In this world, our protagonist will do what she has been so passionate about doing: cooking, but will her food end up delighting Xia Chunyu? What secrets will our protagonist hide? What will the future hold for our heroine? You will have to watch it to find out how the story continues.

It is a Donghua that combines action, cooking and romance within the Chinese culture very well executed; a story that manages to be understood, adding an animation that, in my opinion, is acceptable. The protagonist is charming, her optimism and not caring what others say, managing to make her way to follow what she is so passionate about, especially when it comes to ancient traditions in China, ends up pleasing you in many ways.

! [Spoiler alert]

also gives a lot of laughs when she goes to cook and makes a Sailor. Moon.

If you like cooking and anime, you can't miss this Donghua, I definitely give it a 10/10 score.
