I kept staring at this image and one question hit me.

Why children?

If Mary wanted to appear, she could have gone to the Pope, to a bishop, to a king. But she chose three poor shepherd children in a field. No education. No power. Just sheep and innocence.

And I think I know why now.

God doesn't need our titles. He needs our availability.

Children believe easily. They don't argue. They don't try to look intelligent. When Mary said "pray the rosary," they just prayed.

Sometimes we are too big for God to use us. Too busy, too proud, too logical.

But heaven still visits the lowly.

Maybe today, God is not looking for the most qualified person in the room. He's looking for the most humble.

If you were in that field that day, would you have believed....?
