I still remember that day clearly.

My sister and I have one word that’s just ours. "Sissy".
Since we were kids. In fights, in secrets, in crying at 2am. It was our thing.

Then This very day she was having a WhatsApp group call with her friends.
I heard her on call laughing and she said "okay sissy, talk to you tomorrow bye"

My heart just dropped.

Sissy?
But that’s MY word.

For the next few days I was a mess. I acted normal but inside I was thinking:
"Does she like this new girls more than me?"
"Am I being replaced?"
"What about meeeeee?"😔

I didn’t say anything... I just got quiet. Stopped sending her memes. Replied late on purpose.
Until one night she asked "chichi, why are you behaving weird?"

And I burst. "Nothing. It's just......... you called someone else sissy."

She stared at me for 2 seconds, then laughed and hugged me so tightttt, i really felt that love back...
"Sisi, you will always be my first sissy. The girls are just class friends. You and me? We’re sissssssssssssssssy for life."❤️‍🩹🥹👩‍❤️‍👩👩‍❤️‍👩👩‍❤️‍👩👩‍❤️‍👩

That night I asked myself what India United is asking today:
Is jealousy a sign of love, or is it insecurity wearing a love mask?

Here’s what I think now:
A little jealousy means the person matters.
When my best friend gets a new BFF, the first thing in my head is "what about meeeee?" 😂
When my sister laughs with someone new... I feel that small pinch.
It means "I care about you".

But when it turns into silence, cold fights, and making people guilty for having other people in their life...
That’s not love. That’s insecurity. Fear of not being enough.

My honest answers:

  • Do I ever feel jealous? Yes.When my sister calls someone else "sissy" / "bestie". My brain instantly goes "what about meeee?"
  • What makes me jealous? Feeling like I’m being replaced in someone’s heart.
  • How do I handle it? I talk now. Before I would overthink for days. Now I just say "that made me feel left out". It helps.
  • Personal experience? The "sissy" incident. We laughed about it later. Now she has 3 "sissies" but I’m still "Sissy #1" and she reminds me every Day 😂

I’ve learned this: Love without trust becomes a prison.
And insecurity without talking becomes a wall.

What about you India United family?
Has anyone ever "stolen" your special word, nickname, or person?
Have you ever thought "what about meee😔" when someone you love got close to someone new?
