Okay so I just finished watching "I MET AN ANGEL" and my chest is heavy.
This movie... ah.
So there's this woman. Widow. Two daughters. Favor and Blessing.
Her husband died early so she raised them alone. And not just raised them - she was a prophetess. Big ministry. People were always coming for miracles and deliverance. Everyone respected her.
She had this friend. Divorcee. One son. Jonas. Clinton Joshua played him.
That boy... his mother spoiled him too much. Like, everything he asked for, she gave.
One day Jonas brought a girl home. But not through the front door o 😂
He distracted his mom and sneaked the girl in from back.
Weeks later, their maid started vomiting. Always dizzy.
They asked her what's up. She said she's pregnant....
"Who is responsible for it?"
She said Jonas.
Jonas said "me? God forbid." Denied everything.
His mom was SHOOK. She kept saying "not my son. Not the way I raised him."
So she called the prophetess friend. "Please help me. Talk to my son."
The prophetess said "bring him to my house. I'll handle him."
When Jonas got there, she tried. She collected his chains, his flashy clothes. Told him to join morning devotion. Read Bible. Fast.
But Jonas was stubborn. Like, really stubborn.
Then it got messy.
The prophetess's first daughter, Favor, started liking Jonas.
She would be the one sneaking him food when he was fasting. "Jonas eat, don't die."
But Jonas wasn't feeling her. His eyes were on the younger one, Blessing.
Meanwhile Jonas was still doing nonsense in secret. One day he started craving drugs. I don't know what came over him.
He used the drug and cooked food because he doesn't want yo take it raw to avoid the prophetess knowing.When he was done cooking the first daughter unknowingly went to the kitchen to dish out food for herself,her mum and sister.
And that same day... church service.
Prophetess started acting weird. Then Favor. Then Blessing.
People started recording. Phones everywhere.
Next thing, the video was everywhere on TikTok and WhatsApp. "Prophetess and daughters possessed in church."
Imagine the shame. This is a woman known for healing people. Now she's trending for the wrong reason.
When Jonas found out, he broke down. Because the people that ate the food weren't even the people he wanted to hurt. It just... happened.
Favor later came to him. Crying. Gave him a gift. Told him how she feels.
Jonas had to be honest. "Sis, I don't see you like that. You're like my sister... It's your sister I like."
Painful.
But then... something changed.
Jonas started changing for real.
He started waking up for 5am prayer. Carrying Bible everywhere. Joining devotion. No more attitude.
His mom came to pick him one day. "Let's go home."
Jonas said "Mummy, I want to stay....yeah, I want to continue here."
His mom couldn't believe it. Same Jonas that was giving her headache?
Before she left, Jonas said "Let me pray for us."
And that's how the movie ended. With that same troubled boy now leading prayer.
