Jonas was born in a moderate home. The parents had no money to send him to school. Jonas barely managed to scale through the primary school extensively due to the free education granted by the then government. Upon his graduation in class six Jonas was not able to further his education. But he was able to read and write. Jonas was then drafted to learn a trade - wrist watch repairs which was the business done by his father.
As early as 7 years Jonas had learnt how to fix a bad wristwatch. And with the passage of time Jonas became an expert in that area. His popularity in that regard grew within the community.
Soon, his father passed away and Jonas became the sole owner of the business. He was making profits better than those selling other items within that neighborhood. His skills in reparirng any kind of broken or bad wristwatch was second to none.
One day, a young girl sauntered into Jonas workshop carrying a bad and broken wristwatch as if it were a special treasure. She greeted Jonas and handed him the wristwatch.
"Can you help me fix this please. I was told you can fix anything", the young lady said.
Jonas looked up and adjusted his glasses and fixed his guess at the damsel who then stretched forth her hand and handed over the wristwatch to him.
"Sure, let me see what you've got there", Jonas said as he received the watch.
For two hours Jonas kept working on the wristwatch with the young lady watching him closely. Jonas brushed and polished every spin, spotting bad rings and fixing same accordingly.
In a matter of minutes the wristwatch could be herd chimming. Jonas observed it for a while before handing it back to the young girl with a flourish. The girl's eyes lit up immediately she received the wristwatch.
She also observed it for some minutes before she carefully put in on her wrist.
"What do I owe you for this", she said while brimming with a soft but charming smile.
"Give me whatever you feel is good for the job", replied Jonas.
Th young lady smiled again, opened her handbag and brought out some clean notes and handed thm to Jonas.
