They say to dream and fantasize is the most free thing in the world which costs absolutely nothing. It’s the one thing everyone has the right and freedom to do.
So given the chance, what would my ideal New Year’s Day be? That is to say what would I plan for myself if I had the power to make it happen?
It took a while for me to decide cos I think we can all agree or at least most of us can that sometimes these unexpected questions don’t have an answer right away. I know the exceptional ones are different and will always have an answer.👀
Ever since I was a kid there’s this one trip I’ve wanted to embark on. Since the very first day I heard my dad and aunt talk about “Singapore”, the name alone made me fall in love with it.
At the time if I’m not wrong, Singapore was believed to be the neatest country on earth. But currently, it’s the 24th neatest country .
If I had the power to plan my dream Nee Year’s Day, it would be to finally complete this childhood dream of mine and go to Singapore. It wouldn’t just be me of course. I would embark on the trip with my close friends, siblings, parents and other close family.
This would serve as a get away for us and at least an escape from our real world for a few days. I would ideally want to go on a trip alone where I know no one and just relax, detached from the world and enjoy nature but that’s a fantasy for another day. 😅
There are so many beautiful places to tour in Singapore which a day wouldn’t cover. The airport alone could take more than a day to tour.
The airport is called the Singapore’s Changi Airport. It’s comprised of a lot of restaurants and shops. It has a waterfall and also has forests.
Here are pictures of the Singapore airport.
I also read somewhere there’s a giant robot in the airport walking around in the airport. It looks like it would be a welcoming sight.
The Marina Bay Sands is another site I would be looking to enjoy with my family. It constitutes a hotel and a mall with a view of the whole city. From images I’ve seen online, it has a ship on top of the hotel which looks absolutely stunning.
Who doesn’t love to have a look at preserved heritage. It’s fascinating that with so much development Singapore has seen, there’s a garden that keeps some part of the country’s heritage. Part of it can be seen when you visit the Botanical gardens alone or with your family.
There’s also the “The Gardens By The Bay” which is very beautiful.
I haven’t been to a zoo before and a day like this will take care of this. My family and I would visit the Singapore zoo which houses several animals.
The Orchard Road is known to house a lot of stylish products. I’d visit the orchard road with my family to get some beautiful things. Remember I have endless money in this fantasy😂. We’d shop forever.
The Singapore flyer, Raffles Hotel, National Gallery, Fort Siloso, Fort Canning Park are not to be missed.
So here you have it guys, a trip to Singapore with my family and close friends would be my dream New Year’s Day.
Thank you.
