"Tree"

I painted this picture because I remembered a tree in a park I haven't been to recently. It is a round-cropped tree. A trimmed tree is pretty from a human point of view, but the tree itself might want to grow more branches and leaves. So I painted the lower trunk and branches as if they were undulating, rippling, and full of energy.

「木」
ミクストメディア、18x14cm、2022
この絵は最近行っていない公園の木を思い出して描きました。丸く刈られた木です。刈られた木は人間から見たら可愛らしいけれど、木自身からしたらもっと枝や葉を伸ばしたいと思っているかもしれない。なので下部の幹や枝を、うねり波打ち、エネルギーを秘めているように描きました。
