Hello Hive, it's been a while. 🎨
I went quiet for a long time, but the brushes never stopped. I'm Timii, a painter and visual artist from Nigeria, currently studying and figuring out how painting and graphic design can feed each other. This river scene is my comeback piece, and I want to show you how it got here.
1. The Sketch
Everything started in pencil: the boulders, the shoreline, the flow of the water. I built the whole layout before touching color.
2. The First Rock
I painted one rock first and left the rest as pencil. It set the color mood for everything else: mossy greens, warm earth, a hint of gold.
3. The Water
I worked the river in loose, quick strokes, letting the sky and the trees bleed into the reflections.
4. The Finished Piece
An old tree arching over the stream, light breaking through the leaves, and a calm pool below. Nature tends to be quiet and full at the same time, and I wanted that in this painting.
