Please note that I am not affiliated with any left-wing party. I am someone who believes in a government that intervenes less in the economy and collects fewer taxes, but ensures that tax revenue is put to good use.

All the opinions expressed here are my own, and I do not intend to offend anyone, any political party, or any country; I am simply describing my feelings and my humble interpretation of the situation surrounding one of the bloodiest and longest-running conflicts currently taking place in the heart of Europe in the 21st century.
Equidistant.
Halfway.
Between two sides.
Moderate.
Balancing force.
Mediator.
Intermediary.
All these terms point to something that may not be entirely to our liking, but which, to a certain extent, is what has been agreed upon between two parties that have not reached a formal agreement, or that disagree on key points of their relationship.
A conflict has been raging in the heart of Europe since 2014. I am referring, as many know, to the Russian Federation’s ongoing aggression against the undivided and united, courageous and hopeful Ukrainian nation.
As “General Winter”—as many call and refer to the rapidly approaching period—draws near, and given its great importance in terms of morale, as well as the casualties and progress of both armies and even the very survival of the population, and mostly on the Ukrainian side—which continually and daily witnesses attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure taking place—a third leader of a nation that was once respected and listened to by practically more than half the “world” has come to seize this “position” by storm.
And he did so with the utmost audacity and ignorance, looking only to his own interests—not as the leader of a nation, but as the representative of a class of politicians for whom nothing stands in the way of achieving their goals. Yes, Donald Trump came to announce, firsthand and supposedly without the knowledge of either side, that an energy ceasefire agreement would be established....
And the self-proclaimed mediator and future “deserving” winner of the Nobel Peace Prize took a very interesting stance. He stated in no uncertain terms that he would lift the embargo on the purchase of Russian fuel, with the immediate shipment of thousands of barrels—rising to millions of barrels per month—to the United States. And what new twist did he bring to the conditions of war that had been taking shape? A marked bias not only in his own favor—as the leader of the United States, facing rock-bottom approval ratings and a very likely historic record of disapproval in the midterm elections set to take place in a few weeks... But not only does the number of barrels he announced barely cover U.S. needs for a fortnight… (Yes, you heard right, just 15 days), it is also pure political propaganda and a handout of an absurd amount of money to the Russian Federation, which will quickly divert it toward its military objectives and its investment in offensive weaponry.
A highly unethical referee, say nearly all world leaders.
An embarrassment to American democracy, as well as to the world’s oldest democracies, such as some European ones, including my own country.
Donald Trump just wants to save his own skin… He is grappling with conflicts that he has done nothing to help resolve. And they are nowhere near a resolution.
The prices of refined fuels—including jet fuel and diesel (so essential to the distribution industry and agriculture, among others)—have skyrocketed, not because of Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries, but because of the conflict in the Middle East that was triggered by the United States’ own intervention.
And where are we headed? Honestly, after what I heard that man announce yesterday, it really seemed to me that his role as mediator had turned into that of an ambassador or a puppet clown—controlled from afar and driven by a hunger for money for himself and his cronies, and for the political power that could lead to even greater gains... Many of which will only come to light decades from now.
And with all this, the Epstein case has never been mentioned again… One advantage of the (self-proclaimed) arbiter having been self-appointed is that he does everything to tip the scales in one direction…
The wrong side of history and progress.
