Good evening, #Monomad friends

Sometimes we come across situations or objects that, despite not being complete or lacking their main function or action, acquire another characteristic... Even if it's simply an aesthetic quality. Today I want to share with you a small set of photographs I took during a walk along the south bank of the Tagus, in the Barreiro area. On the Alburrica walkways, and along a tongue of sand that stretches into the Coina River Estuary, it turns out to be a small leisure area for those who don't have the time, or even the possibility, to go to other places like Costa da Caparica or Troia. Invariably, the frequent traffic of transport boats linking the two banks ends up masking what could be a cleaner beach with better conditions for visitors.

On this day, I didn't go with the intention of going to the beach, but rather to explore this coastal area that I hadn't seen before.

The landscape took me back to the imagery of a Don Quixote in desert lands... And that idea settled in me.

Life without dreams is like a windmill without sails... Without function, sterile, only there to be a decorative element and not used and enjoyed or lived...

And an immense melancholy hit me... deep inside...
