#Monomad Challenge - Viewed from a Certain Distance

Good afternoon, #Monomad friends

Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and @monochromes.
We observe our surroundings in an almost instinctive way. We don’t realize that time passes for all of us—both those being observed and those doing the observing.

Few places have the characteristics of a park or urban garden. They are often places where people come together. Neighbors come down to catch some sun and fresh air. Children make the most of every minute they have to play on the slides, swings, and other equipment that make that park—and almost every other one they pass by—an almost irresistible attraction.

It would be unthinkable to imagine a child walking past a park and not being interested in the myriad opportunities for interaction they can have—not only with the playground equipment but also with other children.

And this magic is slowly being lost. Unfortunately, I see that children are becoming miniature adults at an increasingly early age. They adopt the same speech patterns and attitudes, the same mannerisms and bad habits.

Cell phones and social media are among the most harmful things that exist for stifling creativity, interaction, and social development.

When I walk past a park or a garden, I always try to observe the people who are there, those passing by, and who interacts with whom.

A world in miniature, don’t you think?
