Good evening, friends!

Welcome to my post for the #Monomad competition

“Of all God's creatures, there is only one that cannot be made slave of the leash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve the man, but it would deteriorate the cat.” Source

Mark Twain American author and humorist 1835–1910

There's so much truth in this phrase that it's attributed to Mark Twain, don't you agree? I think there are practically only two types of people, those who like cats, and those who haven't learnt to like them yet... ahahah

I've been fascinated by these animals since I was a kid. It's really impressive to be able to see in these little animals a glint in their eye similar to that of the biggest cats on the savannah! Anyone who has seen them at play will understand the similarities... their hunting positions, the ambushes they make at our heels, their more active behaviour when it's darker or the weather is cooler.

One of the difficulties in photographing these animals is certainly getting a shorter exposure time, because their movements, when they realise they're being watched, always end up causing some kind of movement artefact. Of the more than twenty photographs I took of this adorable kitten belonging to some friends of mine, I was only able to take a few, but I think it's worth sharing the final result with you here.

Do you consider yourselves more of a "cat person" or a "dog person"? Or do you just not care much for pets?

I took these last two photos when, that day, after leaving my friends' house, I found this little frame that I wanted to eternalise in a photo.
