Heading north out of Barstow (off I-15), you can see "CALICO" on the mountains in the distance. That's where Calico GHost Town is. I could have sworn it only had a big "C" at one point, possibly in the 1960s. But I can't seem to find any record of it being anything other than "CALICO". Hmmm...
