Here's a cool place that I've driven by dozens of times over the past 60 years - Barstow Station. It's like a convenience store/restaurant/gas station right on old Route 66. Nowadays, Interstate 15 crosses right by it as well. So it didn't die out like so many other places. Love all the train cars connected together with little shops inside that you can wander around.

On the top of the roof (by that "Panda Express"), "BARSTOW STATION" is painted in big white letters that you can see for miles. I remember seeing those back in the 1960s!
