Sorry I have just invented this word for my personal use. If there is colorization, there can be shinization, right?.. Our card collections and decks are getting shinier, and I'd like to share what shiny cards are in my inventory, and my thoughts about the changes in Gods Unchained.
I follow the idea that 
...your best bet is to level up all your cards to Meteorite, then to level up to Mythic, then to level up your collection as much as possible!
So I gradually fuse cards to always play meteorite and I try to stay in Mythic first of all. It means I prefer buying a new helpful meteorite card to spending on shadows and golds. (The only exception is shadow cards of DO Deception - read further.)
This is because I have no chance to get a full shadow deck in the near future. Genesis and Trial cards are too important for my Deception and Anubian collection and I can't afford a shadow version of, for example, Reflection Elementalist or Skull Scepter.
Thus, I am a meteorite player (with splashes of shadows) so I can relax about all that shinization. Until something is changed.
I don't plan to fuse MJ cards soon. Because
SO fusing MJ cards is not a priority. I will keep collecting MJ cards and I will decide what to do later.
I fuse Core cards I often play. I will collect Core cards, especially common ones, to fuse shadow and gold versions when I reach the required amount.
Since the end of May, I have fused and sold around 100 Core cards, mostly common ones, with the average price, let's say, around 0.35 GODS.
I collect and never sell Core cards of Deception and Death, and, since very recent times, Nature as well. As for other ones, I sell everything valuable until I have only 2 plain cards left.
I started playing GU in November 2021. I just enjoyed the game and getting $GODS at Blessing of the Gods event. First, I even thought Weekend Ranked and Blessing of the Gods are the same thing and had no idea about gudecks.com and stuff. On December 1, I fused my first Core card, Rapture Dance and, soon, sold a card on IMX market for the first time. So December 1 is my actual GU cakeday as I believe 馃檪
The domain I was focused on from the very beginning was Deception. There were talks about future changes about shiny cards so I used to buy shadows from time to time although it was hard since, as a new player, I desperately needed new cards for playing and had no crypto for buying even meteorite versions.
This is what I have collected since then:
All of these were bought with $GODS that I got as rewards or $ETH/$GODS that I earned on the IMX market with no investment from outside. Some cards were won on WR events.
Shadow leggies were too expensive. Some cards, like Demolitions Expert, are too useless so I didn't buy them (but I should, I would say today). Inconspicuous Bush is useless but I got 2 of them from WR packs.
Handsome Devil: I bought these gold versions since it was only 1 $GODS each and, that time, I was enchanted with the idea that the secondary tribe of Deception, Nethers, might get more support one day.
Some cards were bought recently. I bought Changing Locks in June since it was cheap and its importance will grow with every new order card. 2 Shadow Twisting Talismans, 2 Shadow Matriarch and 2 Cobra Scepters are recent buys as well.
I'll probably buy shadow Plate Pilferer and Surprise Delivery when I have GODS for this... I have no shadow Counterfeit 馃檨 I play one Counterfeit regularly so having a shadow version is a must.
Should I fuse?.. I think it is better to collect $GODS for buying one shadow version... One day when 1 meteorite Counterfeit costs 100 USD, I will sell the extra copies. 馃檪
The last items I bought were 2 shadow Armor Lurkers. I sold tons of Core cards last weeks and a part of this crypto I spent for this:
Since then, the price has doubled. 馃
Buying shadow versions just to keep them in the vault isn't so good idea but ... I just want to have a full shadow non-leggie set of DO Deception. Maybe one day, I will be able to play a full shadow Deception in a year or so.
In spring 2022, I proclaimed Death to be my second domain. But I never had extra crypto to buy Death shinies. And... I don't care... Play full meteorite, play Mythic, and be happy - this is what I invest in, as I said above.
By the way, I bought Eva, Baroness of the Dead today so I have a full meteorite collection of DO Death including all legendary cards at last 馃
I also have several cheap single shadows from other domains and two gold cards I got from WR packs:
I didn't sell them previously because they cost almost nothing... But I will when the time comes.
I fused my first meteorite on December 1, 2021. It was Rapture Dance. So I chose Rapture to fuse my first shadow Core. 馃檪
These are Deception Core cards I regularly play so I fused them, two of each:
One more card is Hunting Trap, I created only one meteorite, I need one more plain card to get the second meteorite.
I will gradually fuse shadow versions but no rush and I don't want to buy cards for that - when I have enough, I will fuse.
Mostly, this is for Anubians:
Wicked Fae is an amazing card I play with zombies but... I have only 2 plain Fickle Cambions and 2 plain Faithbreakers so playing full meteorite Death Nethers is hardly possible without significant investments 馃檨
This is just insane how few I have meteorite Welcome cards... I didn't understand their importance for too long.
Happy to have 2 Meteorite Vanguard Axewomen. Ransom is playable too, potentially. Wild Hog is an important part of my zombie deck and I don't have meteorite versions of it 馃檨
I think you should buy every Welcome card of your favorite domains when possible because bad cards today can be buffed tomorrow and become desirable.
So, in general, I have everything to play full Meteorite Deception decks except mentioned Hunting Trap and also the Nemean Lion 馃槥 My Anubians are fully meteoritizied.
I will gradually meteoritize Nature Core cards too as I have decided it must be my third domain after Deception and Death.
