My son (10 years old) and I (older than that) decided to try our hand at something new the other day: stop motion! We actually have tried it before and laughed and laughed. His attention span is shor... ooh! Squirrel!... and.. where was I?

Oh yes. I didn't have much time to keep him engaged but wanted to try to find something fun for myself, too, so in addition to setting up some lego's, I felt this was a great time to use my floppy disk based crappy camera! Yes. Oh yes. 0.4 megapixels of stop motion goodness coming right at you!

So how did I accomplish such a feat, you ask?

Well, the camera is a camera after all, even if it is crappy. The hardest part was adjusting the props and then getting the pictures from disk to phone. I did create the animation itself on my phone, using Rough Animator on a Note 9. Great phone.

So, this is just a short little animation, a few seconds in length. A proof of concept. The next will tell more of a story.
