What would you do if you were I?
Should I keep the Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 Special Edition Bundle for $420 or return it for the regular Nintendo Switch for $299 and use the $121 to buy Splatoon 2 ($59.99), a Legend of Zelda Carrying case ($29.99) and bank the extra $30 or just suck it up, pay the NYS taxes and stick with the bundle?
The kids want the game either way but the bundle has a download only version which I didn’t realize until after it was paid for (Walmart Layaway, first time ever using layaway because I didn’t know if they would be hard to get for Christmas or not). Having buyers remorse a little bit but I do like the neon Joy-Con controllers the bundle comes with and I am the one who wants the awesome brown leatherette Zelda case and not them. They play Roblox and could not care less about the amazing world of Hyrule. What do you guys think?
And oh, I also bought them Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath of the Wild and Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle (also for me because it’s an old school tactical rpg kinda) to go with Splatoon 2. Totally getting the extra Nintendo Switch base ($79.99) so I can hook it up to the living room Plasma, the kids Bedroom TV and mine too so I can play it on all the TVs. But that is neither here nor there. Oh and the Pro Controller. So I could always put the extra $30 for that or is it not worth the hassle of all that returning and shipping and hoping there are no Amazon Shipping delays to get here by 12/23.
Who else is getting a Nintendo Switch this Holiday either as a gift or for themselves? I own the NVIDIA Shield TV and think it’s awesome they are using the same chip (X1) in both. Only regret, why did they not make it a touchscreen so we can use it as a tablet too? For $299 that would have been the best tablet on the market. Ultra fast and can play Nintendo games and it could have possibly had access to the Google Play Store? Killer Device in my humble opinion but what can ya do?
Still praying it will have Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu+ and YouTube if not HBOGO so I can at least use that as a streaming device and get the Roku out of the living room. I have too many streaming devices for the amount of TVs now. Three Rokus, an Apple TV, Shield TV (GET ONE NOW!), Wii U, Smart TV, and I would really appreciate not having to dust so many dang devices. But can’t wait to unbox the Switch and play some Zelda! Totally bringing it to work with me for those 11-7am doubles when there is nothing to do.
