You scrape your fingers through the wet grass and mud around you, trying to find something useful. You don't want to draw the attention of the mysterious voice, yet you need to cut through these ropes.
As your fingers dig through the dirt, your hand catches against something sharp. You recoil in pained surprise, and can straight away feel the warmth of blood trickling down your palm.
"Fuck" you mutter.
There is a rustling behind, and then a face looms into view above you. You can't make out the details or features in the dim moonlight. It is only half a foot away.
