Cats Love Trees
Dear cat. You're like a hippy.
You're always hugging trees!
You bat them with your tiny paws,
And climb them with your knees.
My neighbours say it's strange
The way you slither through the leaves
Your body pressed against the bark
(No bite though, if you please)
"That's not the way a cat should climb"
Folk say, "It's not the norm!"
"You're right" I casually reply
"He's quite anguilliform".
But once you're up, you can't get down.
You freeze just like a statue!
But because we're nice, each night we vote
To see who'll climb and catch you.
