Last year we had already noticed the signs for Forte do Rato in Tavira, but we ended up not going. The first time we saw it was precisely from the ferry to Tavira Island. We passed by, looked at that low fort by the water, and the idea of returning there on another occasion stuck with us. It was postponed, as happens so often when we are traveling and there is always something that ends up being left for next time.
Summer has arrived and that’s when we had our vacation before settling back into life here in Europe. So, sit back, relax, and join me as I share how sweet this new adventure back in Europe has been.
When I explore a place for the first time, my expectations are high and everything takes me by surprise; I let myself be surprised, allowing every place I see and every thing I notice to be wonderful. Not all places in the city, by which I mean in nature, are the same, but they are all beautiful.
