I’m back in Germany—not just for a vacation, but for good!
Hi awesome people here in @worldmappin community! I hope you’re all doing great. I have been away for quite long but I am back with another sweet escape and a lot more stories to share with you all.
Summer has arrived and that’s when we had our vacation before settling back into life here in Europe. So, sit back, relax, and join me as I share how sweet this new adventure back in Europe has been.
My husband decided that we should have a vacation, and instead of going to Italy, we chose to explore Germany by a city tour.
I was so happy when I heard the idea because I would gladly take the opportunity to discover the beauty of different German cities. I was so excited to explore new places, try different local foods, see beautiful spots, and create wonderful memories along the way.
Sometimes, you don’t have to travel far to have an amazing adventure. And this time, our adventure was right here in Germany!
When we arrived in Cologne, we rested for a bit and got ready to start our adventure the next day. And for our first stop, we decided to visit the Chocolate Museum!
Seeing it for the first time honestly felt like a dream. It was one of those moments that made me feel like a kid again—almost like I was healing my inner child.
We booked a car and, as soon as we arrived, we headed inside. But before exploring the museum, we decided to have some coffee first. And I must say, their iced coffee was so good! Sipping my coffee while enjoying the beautiful view around us made the moment even more special. Sometimes, it’s the simple little moments that make a trip unforgettable.
After enjoying that really good iced coffee, we decided it was time to head back inside and pay for our entrance tickets. And just like that, our chocolate adventure officially began!
There was so much to see inside the museum. We got to learn about the history of chocolate, where it all started, and how chocolate is made—from the beginning of the process all the way to the finished product.
What I loved most was that it wasn’t just a museum where you walk around and read information. It was also very interactive! There were different things to explore, little activities to enjoy, and moments where you could simply have fun and play like a child again.
It was such a fun experience because while you’re enjoying yourself and letting your inner child come out, you’re also learning something new at the same time.
Definitely one of those places where you can have fun, learn, and make sweet memories all in one visit!
As we continued exploring the museum, every room seemed to become more colorful, exciting, and interesting. There was always something new to discover around every corner - which I liked! 😊
One of the fun activities was a guessing game where you had to guess how many chocolates were inside an acrylic glass container. And if you guessed it correctly, you could even win a prize! How fun is that?
I would definitely say that this museum is for all ages. You won’t get bored because you’re not just walking around reading about the history of chocolate. There are also interactive activities that let you have fun, explore, and enjoy the experience.
And one of the most exciting parts was getting to see how chocolate is actually made right in front of you! It was amazing to watch the process, and even better because you get to taste it fresh.
We even got a free bar of chocolate straight from the machine, and there was also a lovely lady giving out small pieces of wafer dipped in chocolate. Of course, we happily accepted! 😂
Honestly, it was a sweet experience in every sense of the word—fun, educational, interactive, and, most importantly… delicious! 🤎✨
So that would be all for today beautiful people. I hope you get to enjoy this sweet fun adventure of us.
Until my next adventure!
