Hello everyone! This is and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have the island of Porto Santo, Portugal, a mountain village in Pico El Aguila, Venezuela, and a trail in Monsanto Natural Park in Lisbon, Portugal. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
Located off the Madeira archipelago, the island of Porto Santo is often overshadowed by its more mountainous big sister. Yet this small Portuguese territory has a charm all its own, more discreet, gentler, and more intimate. Where Madeira impresses with its spectacular landscapes, Porto Santo captivates with its simplicity, its calm, and its soothing atmosphere. We arrived there at night, by sailboat from Tangier after four days at sea.

It was around 10 in the morning when we left the charming town of Chachopo behind to continue our route through the páramo, specifically to Pico del Águila. But first, we passed through places like La Venta; the mountains were the stars of every climb and curve. For this trip, we were prepared with appropriate clothing for the cold.

Greetings nature lovers! Today I bring you a new hike in a place dedicated to enjoying two of my favorite hobbies: hiking and nature. The trail I'll be doing today is called "Trilho das Corridas," one of the longest in Monsanto Natural Park in Lisbon. Today's hike was 22 km and took me about 5 hours. Obviously, I was going at a slow to moderate pace because I was taking pictures of everything I saw! Enjoy this experience... By the way, the cover photo is a composite of all my photos, and AI pieced them all together!🚵🏻♀️🌻
