Hello everyone! This is Hive account@ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have a cathedral in Paris, France, another cathedral in Erfurt, Germany, and a fishing village in Nhon Hai, Vietnam. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
When you stand in front of Notre-Dame, you understand why it is considered one of the most beautiful examples of Gothic architecture in the world. The facade is so detailed that you could spend hours just looking at its statues, gargoyles, stained glass and carvings. I stayed for a long time, I photographed almost every corner, because it is impossible to choose just one detail that delights you.
Erfurt meets me in the glow of the cathedral night. The Catholic cathedral rises above the city like a guardian from another age, its grand staircase a declaration of presence, of height, of history. Below it lies the town—shaped by Luther, Protestant in spirit, tone, and memory. And yet the cathedral remains, steadfast, its beauty undiminished, overlooking a city that took a different theological path.
Located about 20 km from the center of Quy Nhon city, Nhon Hai fishing village on Phuong Mai peninsula is one of the places that still retains the rustic, pristine beauty of the Central Coast. Looking down from the winding mountain road, Nhon Hai appears peaceful with small houses nestled on the white sand bank, in front of the deep blue sea, behind the undulating mountains.
