Walk along the Cinta Costera on a cloudy afternoon (Eng - Esp)
Greetings to fellow travelers around the world; I hope you are having a wonderful day with your loved ones. I’d like to share my visit to the Cinta Costera (coastal promenade) in Cumaná. It is a long stretch that begins near the Marina Plaza shopping center and extends to the Caigüire district. I walked the section between the "Guardians of the Gulf" office and the walkway currently under construction; this area offers beautiful scenery and is perfect for walking. Nearby, you’ll find the Hernán Marín amphitheater, an outdoor gym, and the Padel Club.
It is an ideal spot for those who love sports and seaside walks. Late afternoon is my favorite time to visit, as the sun’s intensity has faded, the breeze is cool, and the area offers incredible views—especially at sunset. A friend and I took a walk along the shoreline around 5:00 PM, enjoying the refreshing breeze, the birds in flight, and the water crashing against the rocks, creating a pleasant, rain-like effect. We started our walk along the water's edge, following the rocky path where we spotted several crabs, and then continued on toward the Coast Guard office and some huts currently being built in the area.
Saludos amigos viajeros en todo el mundo, deseo que tengan un excelente día en unión de sus seres queridos, les comparto mi visita a la cinta costera en Cumaná, es una larga franja que inicia cerca del centro comercial Marina Plaza y se extiende hasta el sector Caigüire, mi recorrido lo realicé en el tramo de la oficina de los Guardianes del Golfo y la caminería en construcción, este tramo ofrece hermosos paisajes y es perfecto para realizar caminatas, muy cerca de él se encuentra el anfiteatro Hernán Marín, gimnasio al aire libre y el Club de Pádel.
Para los amantes de los deportes y caminatas a la orilla del mar, es el espacio ideal, en horas de la tarde es mi favorito, pues el sol ha bajado su intensidad la brisa es fresca y los paisajes que ofrece esta zona de la ciudad son increíbles, especialmente al atardecer, en compañía de mi amiga hicimos un recorrido por la orilla de la playa aproximadamente a las 5 pm, la brisa refrescante muchas aves volando y el agua golpeando las rocas, creando un agradable efecto de lluvia, iniciamos nuestra caminata por la orilla siguiendo el sendero de las rocas, donde observamos varios cangrejos, luego avanzamos hasta la oficina de guardacostas y unas chozas que se están construyendo en el área.
From the shoreline, you can see some buildings along the perimeter road, as well as the rocky path running by the water. Since it was cloudy, there was very little direct sunlight, making our walk a lovely experience as we enjoyed the breeze and the beautiful seaside scenery offered by the coastal promenade. It is undoubtedly one of my favorite places in the city to relax, recharge, and admire the beauty of nature.
The walkway features information signs placed right near the sidewalk, and the buildings stand out for their colors and designs—including the brick-colored one, which is among the most well-known. The hut currently under construction was the element I liked best in this area; it adds a tropical, rustic touch to the beach. You can also see the walkway and the caico tile paving; the view of the sea is incredible, with the clouds contrasting against the water. I also really like the rocky path because it is perfect for spotting crabs and other marine life, though I must admit these crustacean friends are elusive and move very quickly. As we walked, we admired the clouds and their beautiful shapes—one looked like a star, with a sliver of sunlight shining through it. We also saw a boat setting sail from this part of the beach for the first time; despite visiting several times, I had never seen that happen before. A man told us that the boat makes trips to the Araya Peninsula and, if arranged in advance, can also take passengers on tours along the coast. The sight of the boat on the water was a truly beautiful, charming scene—a lovely gift we received during our walk.
Desde la orilla de la playa se aprecian algunos edificios de la avenida perimetral, así como el sendero de rocas a la orilla de la playa, como el cielo estaba nublado, la incidencia de sol era mínima lo cual hizo que nuestra caminata fuera una linda experiencia, disfrutando la brisa y los hermosos paisajes marinos que ofrece la cinta costera, sin duda es uno de mis lugares favoritos de la ciudad, para relajarme, recargar en energía y admirar la belleza de la naturaleza.
La caminería cuenta con vallas de identificación ubicadas muy cerca de la acera, los edificios destacan por su color y diseño entre ellos el de color ladrillo que uno de los más conocidos, la choza en construcción fue el elemento que más me gustó en esta zona, agrega un estilo tropical y campestre a la playa, se observa también la caminería y el suelo cubierto con caico la vista del mar es increíble y las nubes contrastan con el agua; el sendero de las rocas también me gusta mucho porque es perfecto para observar cangrejos y otros animales marinos, aunque debo decir que estos amigos crustáceos son escurridizos y se mueven muy rápido, mientras hacemos nuestra caminata observamos las nubes y algunas de sus hermosas formas una de ellas parecía una estrella por donde entraba la poca luz del sol, también vimos por primera vez un bote zarpar desde esta zona de la playa, en varias oportunidades que he ido hizo es la primera vez que lo veo, un señor nos informó que este bote hace viajes hasta la península de Araya y en muchas ocasiones cuando se habla con anterioridad, pueden hacer paseos por la cinta costera, la vista del bote en el agua es sin duda un hermoso y encantador paisaje que obtuvimos como regalo mientras realizábamos la caminata.
