Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. In our featured posts, we have a canyon in Arizona, USA, a beach in Ericeira, Portugal, and the municipality of Skien, Norway. Enjoy and keep on pinning your travel posts to the map!
Antelope Canyon is located on the lands of the Navajo Nation (in their own language - Diné). The only way to visit is a guided tour. When one searches for information, the top hits will be Upper and Lower Canyon. These are the most popular (and most expensive) parts of the canyon. If we however don't follow the crowds, we will find a better and cheaper option - Canyon X. Why do I think it's better? Instead of 10 minutes and 100m of a canyon tour for almost $100, we can have one hour hike in two canyons with local guide for $52.

Welcome to the second part of the walk I took with some friends on September 29th last year, on the occasion of “World Rivers Day”. In the previous post, I showed you the fantastic route we took from the end of the mouth of the River Lizandro to the beach of the River Lizandro, located in the picturesque municipality of Mafra.
Today, I want to share with you the second part of that same route, which we took from the village of São Julião, where the São Julião Chapel is located, to São Julião Beach, which is just over half a kilometer away if you take the road.

Skien, a nearby city, has a rich history as a center for seafaring, timber exports, and early industrialization. Between the 16th and 19th centuries, it was one of Norway's largest cities and had a significant international presence.
We often drive to Skien to visit friends or do some special shopping. we sometimes pass through the city which is the capital of Telemark County but it's been a while since our last visit to the center.
