@relf87Noboribetsu is well known for its natural hot springs (onsens) because of its mountainous landscape and there's a famous tourist attraction, which is the Jigokudani, translated to Hell Valley. This area is actually a volcanic crater, so with the snow, I was excited to see how it would look like!
We reached before noon and went for a soak in one of the local onsens. I must say the experience was very surreal because I experienced hot and freezing cold simultaneously. There was an open air area, where you could submerge your body in the onsen waters, but the upper half of your body would still be above the water. And it was even more amazing that snow was falling and I could feel and see the snowflakes land on me. Unfortunately, for obvious reasons, I didn't have any photos of the onsen. Hehe.

@miljo76The year is coming to an end. It's that time of year when we can look inward, reflect on the year, make plans for the year ahead. Above all, it's a time when we have more free time to go and see what's happening in our neighbourhood. Last year my family and I spent the New Year in Istria, Croatia, and on the way home we stopped in the city of Rijeka. Rijeka is located in the north-west of Croatia, on Kvarner Bay, which is part of the Adriatic Sea. Due to its geographical position, the city is an important port.

@x-rainYou must buy an entrance ticket to visit the citadel called the Imperial City (a smaller fortress within the fortress, "Vietnamese Grand Palace") where all the architectural luxury is concentrated. However, the rest of the territory is available for free and that's amazing for those who love to walk with the camera.
There are no century-old residential areas preserved there, and residential buildings inside the walls are unremarkable. But the frame for this unremarkableness is charming. Massive fortress gates and ancient bridges continue to play the role of the main transport arteries there.
