Hello everyone! This is @ybanezkim26 and I'll present today's edition of Travel Digest. It's all about castles and palaces today. In our featured posts, we have a palace in Hue, Vietnam, a castle ruins in Gorzegno, Italy, and a castle and church in Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal. Years passed, one war came after another; the Vietnamese monarchy lost its influence and power. The palace was confiscated and eventually turned into a student hostel in 1975 when the Communists captured the South. The building fell into disrepair.
The Castle of Gorzegno is located southeast of the city center of Cuneo, Itlay. It is currently a castle ruins, surrounded by weeds, with a history of Gorzegno. It has been known since the early Middle Ages and has been associated with the Maraquis Del Carretto for centuries. According to the available evidence, the castle has been destroyed, which is like a monument in the center, clearly visible from the road in the middle of the valley.
After a pleasant walk through the village's quiet streets, where time seems to slow down, we decided to head to two of its most emblematic landmarks: the Vila Nova de Cerveira Castle and the Miseric贸rdia Church. Both are silent witnesses to centuries of history, where we were able to experience true time travel.
