Introduction

Hi everyone, fellow travellers :) This is @lauramica here to share our Travel Digest with you today: this is our #100th post with the new Worldmappin team! It's an honour to belong to this group and I want to congratulate my colleagues for the great work they have done since this project started. And to those who have continued to put their travels on the map, thank you very much for being part of this too!

In our featured posts today we have a walk along a beach in Aragua, Venezuela; a visit to the city of Huelva in Spain, and a tour of the streets of Havana, Cuba. The road to get there goes through a cloud forest, has many curves, ups and downs, and the trip takes about an hour and a half. If you go by public transportation, some colorful old buses, surely the driver will have the music, salsa or merengue, at full volume while you hold on to the seat so as not to fall on the curves. Getting to this exotic coast is a separate chapter, but it is because of these details that no one forgets the route to the beaches of Aragua State, Venezuela, and of course, then there is the landscape, which could be the exact definition of tropical paradise.

🥈 PhotoEdits @oscarps - Trip to Huelva capital, Andalusia by @oscarps

On the itinerary through the south of the Iberian Peninsula I arrived at the city of Huelva capital. This city is the provincial capital and is one of the most important cities in the autonomous community of Andalusia, in Spain. Located on the Huelva estuary, it is supplied with fresh water by the union of two small rivers that form an estuary and flow into the Atlantic Ocean, which gives it its special shape. Currently, the capital and its port are part of a large industrial complex, although it retains much of an ancient legacy of a southern city with its white facades, its fishing districts and its streets that are a clear example of times gone by.

🥉 Walking through Alameda de Paula [en/es] by @lileisabel

A few days ago I accompanied my son to Almacenes San José in search of a gift for his wife. Although he didn't find anything to his liking, we decided to take advantage of the day and take a walk along the Alameda de Paula. It was past noon and we hadn't eaten anything since dawn, so we were also looking for a place to have lunch. I have strolled through the Alameda on several occasions and it always fascinates me. This place, named after the nearby church of San Francisco de Paula, became the first public promenade in the city. The promenade beautified the city and made Havanans proud of it, marking the beginning of a new era of urbanism and modernization in Havana.
