Chanderkhani Pass connects Kullu Valley with Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh and is considered one of the most scenic trek of Himachal Pradesh. With maximum elevation of about 3700m, it’s about 12-14 km long trek with elevation gain of about 1500m from the starting point (Rumsu Village).
Chanderkhani pass is of great significance to the local people. Dev culture is followed in the Kullu and Parvati valleys that originated from here as the engrams of all eighteen deities were spread across to different villages of Kullu and Parvati valleys from here.

Hello dear diary and everyone who should read my diary blog. Today, somewhat belatedly, I finally found the time to report on my "day trip" on August 21, 2024.
Since I am now an island dweller due to time constraints, as I am currently living on Koh Phangan, I have to go to the mainland, Krabi to be precise, every 3 months to extend my visa regarding the language school (yes, I am trying to learn Thai, but private teachers would certainly be better for it...). Whew, what a weird nesting sentence. Lol. Well, I think it was kind of understandable.

For this publication I didn't need a lot of preparation. In fact, it was a completely improvised plan. Last Sunday morning my husband suggested going for a walk and we wanted to get away from our usual routes, so we decided to go to the nearby village of Muel. We had visited its park years ago and remembered liking the place. In little more than 20 minutes we were parking to start this walk.
The town of Muel is known for its pottery, so we found this material everywhere. Another of its attractions are the fresco paintings that Francisco De Goya painted on the pendentives of the Hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Fuente, the starting point of our tour.
