Gooooood Day, World!

As mentioned in my last post - I'm now a free man who does not have to work in a 9-5 office job anymore. After saving up all my money for the last decade I have now time to finally focus on photography and just do what I love the most.

Yesterday morning I came back to Germany from my 6 year stay in Thailand. Even it's pretty cold, I already fell in love again with the stunning mountains which surround my hometown. Not to even mention the incredible fresh air I can breath here!

Coming back with time and a lot of motivation I did my first hike today morning. My destination target was the area of the "Three Linden" which are 3 very old and quite famous trees in our hometown.

Listening to some chilled piano music on my Ear-Phones, having a stunning misty but sunny sunrise it was really a perfect day to start the 1.5 hour trip to the famous trees. Even I had an average temperature of 35 C + in the past years I enjoyed the cozzy 4 C we had here.

As the hike isn't difficult at all, I've used quite a lot of opportunities to test my new Sony A7r V with its 24-70 lens. Having these incredible light conditions there wasn't really a lot I could do wrong :))

Not only was it the first time hiking for me in a long time, I also saw and held some snow again! God.. How much did I miss this feeling of ice cold snow in my hands! Especially when you hike in a fast pace there is nothing better than cooling your self down with a piece of snow!

And there they were - The famous 3 "Linden Trees" - The funny thing is, I cant really tell much about them and why they are famous in our region. The internet tells almost nothing about them and when ever I ask someone - Sure, they know them. But why and what nobody can answer :))

The thing I can say for sure is that this place really has something magical on it. On the peak of the tree hill you can see our entire mountain village covered in beautiful mist. Not to even mention on how quiet and peaceful it is up there.

Walking around, drinking some fresh mountain water, breathing the fresh air really made me calm down from all the years I've been living in a busy and very high polluted city.

Even my legs might be quite sore tomorrow I'm already planing my next trips around my hometown region and as promised I'm going to share all of these trips with you guys!

Stay tuned and thanks for joining me on this little virtual tour around my hometown mountains :)

Best,
Chris
