That smile! Damn! that smile was one that could melt ice. It was so beautiful. I tried not to stare too much but it kept calling me. I took deep breaths. Inhale.. exhale.."you can do this Rita" I said to myself.
Noo! I couldn't! I needed a whole lot of courage to make that bold step. My inner voice kept screaming ' just do it!'. The last time I was in a situation like this, I didn't do anything and my 'date' went home and we never spoke again.

I wasn't exactly the type of girl to just walk up to a chair and sit down like nothing happened. I took in deep breaths again, I took a sneak peak and there were three. One...two..three! I was barely in the mood to meet one person, talk less of three! No! I wasn't going!
"Where are you at?" He asked
I was where I was. Away from the world.
"Uhmm I'm around".
" Could you come over already! I've been here for quite a while now"
Okay first summoning up courage was a thing I couldn't just do and second if I didn't go, I probably would have been given a bad tag. Something like 'she stood me up'. Honestly, I didn't care about the tag.

My legs started moving. It felt like I was being controlled. Okay, Rita you've got this.
I walked up to the table, pulled out a seat and fixated my arse on it. I took my time to calm my nerves while looking at everyone's face. There it was again that smile.
Gosh! I exclamation within
So there I was, staring at one person and at the same time staring at all. I guess I had to speak out and speak up. My voice was about to fail me and it did.
"Hola everyone". That came out wrong. I sounded like a rat that fell into hot oil and was trying to scream for help.
In the meantime I was communicating with my mind. 'Rita do all you want to do but avoid that smile, you can't afford to trip for that' and guess what, I kept stealing glances at the smile. Was it the smile or was it the lips? I wondered.

Minutes got by and I was fully settled and relaxed. We conversed for sometime and I had to take my leave because I was preoccupied. I bid goodbye and exited.
My legs were trembling as I was taking my leave. I got to coverage and immediately sat down to regain balance.
Oh my! My! my ! First of all, high-five to myself. I managed to get everything under control. Second, that smileeee! It was stuck in my head. A recurring smile, how epic. I smiled. Job well done Rita!
