Touring the world and going places has been one of the things I love doing and so this day my mom wanted to go on a business trip and I asked to join her. She said yes. Joy! I got prepared and ready to go the next day

She wasn't driving because the journey was a long one and if she drove, it would have been longer. We got to a park and boarded, got our tickets after waiting for so long on a line and eventually boarded a bus. We were the first people in that bus because the other buses were filled up and ready to move. We had to wait again for our bus to get filled.

Being the first set of people, my mom and I took the front seat. Man no like stress

We waited, people started coming and here came two Hausa men. One was kinda disabled and so his brother asked for him to sit in the front seat to avoid any complications. He asked in a rather arrogant manner. He asked with the tone of 'I own the seat, I have all the right in the world to be on that seat'. My mom looked at me and looked away. That look was interpreted as ' it's your choice, help the man or not..? It's up to you'. I stood up and the man sat.

My mom asked if I'd be fine behind and I said I would be, I was still young and needed to be guided. I actually thought I would be. I sat directly behind her. The bus got filled. Three people were supposed to be on each row. To my left was an Igbo man. To my right was a Hausa man. I thought that was it, but as we were about to commence the journey, an ibibio man hopped onto my row. Discomfort I said. Well he didn't really consume much space and I didn't either so we were cool.

Journey began, no phone to press, but I had to stay woke because I didn't know what could happen. Everything was going fine till the Yoruba man lifted his hands and his armpit was directly beside my nose. Daym! I couldn't take it, I almost puked no disrespect . I had no other option but to turn towards the Igbo man. Another problem. He was sick and as such he was sneezing, coughing, spitting, itching and all. Mucus spits were disgusting and I almost screamed. The journey didn't even begin and I almost died.

I was in between two tribes and I could hardly move. I just sat still like a log of wood. That was the day I knew that it's not good to be good all the time. If I were sitting with my mom, I wouldn't have faced any trauma, but well, it was for s noble course.

I was left to choose between the armpit and the catarrh and cough. Oh my freaking goodness! Could this journey get any worse. I chose, yes I did and I chose sight rather than smell. The smell could restrict my airflow and cause me to pass out, but the sight, I could always close my eyes.

It continued for about an hour and finally we reached our destination. Come and see me running out of the bus like a prey running from its predator. I had to flee. I stood outside the bus and breathed in fresh air, it was divine. Freedom at last! I told my mom about my experience and she was laughing. On our return journey, I carefully made my decision which reminds me of a post that merit.ahama@merit.ahama made about decision making. The rest of my adventure was fun but the journey was definitely one to remember.
