Foods source is an important component of a strong civilization. Even food is something very fundamental. Therefore, cultivation and management in the context of food production should not be underestimated.
No exception also for small scale, in domestic life. Food production through agricultural land management can be an effort to increase the economic value of the community and in order to meet the needs of life.
This time I will share information about what we have just done in order to start strengthening food, at least starting in the personal and household spheres.
The following is the first phase in the management of land and agricultural land.
1.Land Preparation
Due to the small scale, we started with a dry land area of 80 tiles or about 1100 m2. It's not really wide, but at least this can be a good thing to start farming activities.
I rented this land from family and have a contract for 5 years, starting July 1, 2022 until 2027. With a rental fee of only 2 million rupiah, a low price because it is a business with internal family.
Even though the official contract is tomorrow, July 1, 2022, but since Monday, June 27 2022, we have started cultivating the land.
2.Land Cultivation
For this 1000 m2 land, I was assisted by 3 workers who are also a family. They only work half a day, starting in the morning around 6 or 7 until 12 noon. Almost all workers are also family. So, this business principle is also at least empowering families as workers.
By the way, actually for the cultivation of this rice field, we plan to plant peanuts which I assume for land processing and maintenance is relatively easy.
