Whenever I see sugar cubes on the table, it always takes me back when I was a kid. We used to line up in the gym and everybody took a sugar cube and let it dissolve in your mouth. Little did I know at the time was that each cube was infused with the polio vaccine, I didn't care I just liked the sugar. That's why I was so husky! I'm not sure if they still use that method to administer polio vaccinations anymore but I would rather have a cube, than a shot. All of the school districts in San Antonio have mandatory required vaccinations, before kids can start school after summer vacation. Parents are keeping their kids from getting vaccines for whatever reason, and now these diseases that were close to eradication, are raising there ugly heads. Just the other day, a child died from not being vaccinated, a needless death for sure.
