4 years ago I went on a trip to my childhood friend home town, and I can say that was one of the best times of my life.
but then something bad almost took place that nearly cost me my life, and today I want to share that experience with you and how I survived it.
so on this faithful day, we all decided to visit the local stream in that community, I call it local because it was nothing compared to the kind of water bodies we had in the city where I grew up.
I underestimated the strength of the water current and how dark the stream was. I said to myself I was going to empress every body that followed us to the stream since I was a city boy and as to show superior character in my swimming ability.
A few minutes after I got into the water, one of the worse things that can happen to any swimmer took me by surprise, I had a muscle pull in my right leg and this happened when I was far from the shoreline. but i will share with you some of the tips I employed that safe my life that day
HOW TO SURVIVE WHEN DROWNING
Fred Lanoue, a swim instructor at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1936 to 1964, created a technique for keeping a swimmer afloat with only a tiny amount of energy. He referred to it as "drown-proofing."
He claimed that a person could float upright in the water, breathing just via their mouth and nose. According to Lanoue, if this method is perfected, anyone may live under the water for lengthy periods of time. This would allow a swimmer to take a break while in the water before returning to swimming.
Here are some "drown-proofing" essentials.
